hey man , seen your thread at ca and gotta tell you that those practices are really paying off! keep at it! regarding the space opera i will have this in my wardrobe for some years for sure and when i do personal chara designs for this setting the story developes itself , its rather fun not sure if this will be serious one day. but yeah i´d like to do it if my skill is at the level i want it to be for that.
depends on my mood i guess . if i got a pose down with light lines and am sure the charater is standing or posing like i want to the hardest part is done. coming up with a design is a thing that happens in the process . i add different big shapes first then adding detail. of course there is mostly a vague idea for what i am going for , but however it gets fleshed out during the process.
Thanks! I have so much trouble trying to come up with designs on the go and I try to just play around with different shapes and build up on that. Again, thanks! I was afraid you just went in and drew that stuff because your lines are SO GOOD. How long have you been drawing?
hehe . no problem . although it also helps to scribble with a ball point here and then to build up some more confidence. though not a proffesianal approach for characterdesign i guess.. i have been drawing seriously since 8 years now.
