do you clean your scans in ps or leave it as-is (after getting the paper to be white, of course) cause i see lines all around, like in the left leg of the frontman, but their faces are so clean! liek ewans face... i can see no sketchy lines, just a boatload of expression that i'm not capable of drawing.
so?
before i concentrate on clean lines i just sketch doodle and mess around with the proportions and placement of things and objects bodies posing etc with very light pencil strokes. well thats more or less how i do it recently. i hope it clears things up a bit.
